OleWilliams Posted March 19, 2011 Share Posted March 19, 2011 A couple of problems here. Hope I can figure them all out. Most of this will be issues with FCOM, and some crashes. Ill start on missing meshes/textures. On the FCOM page it says to download Marts Monster Mod 3.5.5 and then download the more recent one and a missing litch texture patch. But, checking around I found the newest Marts Monster Mod requires a " clean installation " of it with no other versions. And now runs with a BSA. Since Martigen worked on FCOM and it mentions it in the new readme I figured the newer version was still useable with FCOM. So I used that instead of getting 3.5.5 and a new version over that. But theres some problems. I have noticed a few missing meshes or textures. On things I think are coming from Marts Monster mod. " Frost Imp " was missing as well as a weapon or 2. Is there a way I have to install the newer version? Do I need to download the other marts monster mods instead ( older version ) NEXT PART While I am asking on downloading other versions of Marts. Does any one know why all of the links from " Planetelderscrolls.com " lead to a add put up by IGNN blocking out the downloads. Or if there is anything I can do about it. NEXT PART On the FCOM homepage it says this about diverse creature skins " The MMM - Diverse Creature Skins module is now integrated into FCOM_Convergence.esp -- the diverse skins are even used on many variants from OOO -- so it should not be used with FCOM 9.0 or later. If you do use it, you'll lose much of the creature unification work done in FCOM_Convergence.esp. " It also says. " However, if you think some of the changes from Diverse Creature Skins are not showing up in your game for some reason, you can place Diverse Creature Skins early in the load order (before FCOM_Convergence.esp), mark it with {{BASH: Graphics}}, then activate it in the Bashed Patch (Graphics section). " In my game it seems like diverse creature skins are not in it. Or at least not noticable and not the way they were when I used to use MMM diverse creature skins. All the rats I have seen and goblins look pretty identical. And sized the same. If any one knows if there is something I need to do to get FCOM's " intergrated " diverse skins to kick in or if doing what it says and adding in diverse skins would work well and not screw up the game like it said in the earlier sentence let me know. NEXT PART Having crashes every once in a while while running outside around the imperial city with speed on 100 to test my mods for crashes/ see if they are all working. I am not sure if these are crashes that happen because of a certain mod or if they are just going to happen with FCOM. And I am planning on getting the crash preventer system from tex nexus ( which I have heard has problems also ). Because If I remember right it fixes most of the crashes. Do NOT use the FCOM Homepage to install and/or download FCOM and its component mods. That page is YEARS out of date. The original host/author of the FCOM Homepage has been absent from the mod scene for well over a year. Instead, follow the instructions for installing FCOM found in the UFCOM thread on Bethesda's official Oblivion mod forum --------------------------> HERE Hope this helps.
