Can't pay off bounty wearing gray fox cowl

When you first wear the gray fox cowl a 500 dollar bounty is added instantly But I don't have the option to pay christophe or bribe the guards to take it off.The only option I have from the guard is to resist arrest. :Is this a bug or is this normal :(

But you can commit horrible crimes while wearing the Gray Fox cowl, and when you take it off, the bounties will dissapear (because the guards will blame the Gray Fox :))!

Thanks for the yield tip for the guards Chjoco15. That works well. I found out for some reason S'krivva excepts payment for the bounty. Strange ?

Yeah, you can pay the bounty off each time you wear the cowl, but the gaurds will still go after you if they see you wearing it (at least they still do for me). However, each time you take the cowl off and put it back on you get an automatic 100 gold bounty.

its as bad as the end of paranoia, i just held up my sheild and let the guards .. erm.. do the dirty work

and i walk up to the guard who dealt the final blow and he says the same standard "oh he turned up dead"

I guess you didn't digest the whole story behind the Cowl of Nocturnal— the thing messes with people's memories. When the curse that Nocturnal laid upon it was at full effect, the person who donned the cowl was essentially erased from the minds of anyone who ever knew him or her— while the wearer knew who he was, nobody else was able to remember nor recognize him, even if he shouted his own name in their face. This effect was so powerful that it persisted even after the wearer took the cowl off.

 

What happened with the latest Gray Fox is that the curse on the cowl was lifted— or, at least, weakened to the point that the erasure is only in effect so long as you're wearing it.

you're right. but thats my fault as i haven't played the thieves guild missions yet.

but alls that sounds like is lazy programming.

what about that? maybe if that little problem didn't occur it wouldn't sound like lazy programming.
