I don't understand it. I was trying to install the multiplayer mod that I down loaded, I did everything that the instructions told me but when I was going to test it a messenge came up saying that I had to reinstall oblivion because it didn't find the game executable. what could I have done wrong? I tried to find out what I did wrong and I found out that I was missing the ini file. it disapeared and I tried the recycle bin but it wasn't there either. is there a way to get to get the ini file back without reinstalling the game? any help would be appreciated!

Running the game when the .ini doesn't exist should clone a new one from Oblivion_default.ini.

(You aren't looking for the .ini in the same folder as the executable, right?)

What do you mean by a clone and no I looked where its always been at C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion.

By 'clone', I mean create a copy of Oblivion_default.ini at My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini
