I have found elsewhere that someone solved this problem by resetting their oblivion.ini file (not sure how), but it could be because of the shader issue discussed. (By the way... what IS the harm in necroing a thread for a problem that people still encounter?) Anyway, sorry if this text gives anyone cancer or breaks your favourite china set.
