Hickory
Open up Windows Explorer to \Documents\My Games\Oblivion\. There should be a folder in there called 'Saves'. If there is not, create one -- make sure it is named 'Saves', and make sure that your oblivion.ini (in the same Oblivion folder) has the following entry: SLocalSavePath=Saves\

Hickory
Ok, you may have a corrupt installation. Uninstall Oblivion and delete your \Documents\My Games\Oblivion\ folder. Then reinstall Oblivion.
Balakirev
If you don't mind a little advice--don't quicksave. Oblivion's quicksaves have been known for years to cause game corruption. As the Oblivion Wiki notes under Tech Support: Stop overwriting existing save files and avoid using Quicksave. Disabling quicksaves will have a dramatic effect in reducing crashes. Or try googling Oblivion, quicksave, and corruption, all at one time, and see what you get. ;) Edited March 24, 2011 by Balakirev
