For the more quests, we've been floating around some ideas, that will have both a good karma and bad karma side.

1) Provide Water to civilians / Hoard water (or control and sell)

2) provide food to civilians / save the food for the people who can afford it

3) cleanup freeside / or make it worse (more chems, more crime)

4) Crack down on freeside thugs / crooked securitron enforcement

 

Of course feel free to discuss anything that wasn't in the poll.

Working poker and dice games please.

 

That would be awesome. I have not yet found out if it's possible to make it though. I don't even know where the scripts are kept for the card games. I kind of want to see if it's possible to copy and edit the blackjack to make a poker game.

I had some ideas for your previously mentioned idea of relations with the other three major casinos. Since you run the Strip (or if Mr. House runs it through you), you should have sway with the Omertas, Chairmen, and WGS.

 

I had some ideas for how that could work, unless you already do.

 

I've added your idea to the poll. I've forgotten to put that one in :blush:

 

I've put some thought into in but I haven't come up with anything tangible though. It's always good to hear ideas :thumbsup:

We are working on a very cool feature that you will see in the next update (1.6).

 

 

New In Update 1.6

- Monitor The Lucky 38 from Surveillance room.

- Manage the Kitchen and Cocktail lounge!

- fixed Casino floor protectrons wandering around

- No patrons before you unlock Studio Club and Studio 12

- Mister Medicine sells stimpacks now!

- Added about 20 NPCs

- More rooms

 

Those listed above have already found it's way in the update.

The ability to open the Cocktail Lounge to the public and to open the kitchen to serve them will be included in the next version :thumbsup:

 

We are also working on a questline involving the other casinos

 

 

based on a sort of rating system. Each casino will be given a value to relate to their prestige. You must create a reputable business of the hotel and casino to raise the Lucky 38's prestige. You must prove yourself to be worthy competitor in the Strip.

It is likely that you will first be involved with the Gomorrah, as they are a slummier casino. When you've operated the Lucky 38 to a degree that your profits are better then the Gomorrah (and perhaps you've decided you wanted a piece of the Gomorrah's action (or all of it :teehee: )) you might want to attempt to coerce a deal/takeover of the Atomic Wrangler.

When it is obvious that the Lucky 38 is no ordinary casino, as you've used your influence to bring it up to a successful notable mark on the strip, you will find The Tops to be within your reach. Only the most successful Casino owners will be able to extend their influence into the Ultra Luxe, as to be on a comparable level to them requires excellence in managing and running the Lucky 38.

 

Note however this is all still in the early planning stages.

Hey guys, I understand all of the enthusiasm revolving around the addition of new floors, but in my opinion, it would be best to perfect the existing floors first. It is rare for a mod to allow you so much micromanagement, and I would like to see more of it! The medical bay and the kitchen have plenty of possibilities. These might be a little more difficult, but would certainly help enhance the unique aspects of this mod.

I agree. The way it worked out is that omega549 is really good at building levels, but I cannot keep up with scripting content and adding quests at his speed. I hadn't intended for a large number of 'empty' floors, and the next version will included several new floors, but several of them will actually have micromanagement and other content to involve the player.

 

For the medical bay, the next update will include more sick people to heal with varying diseases (hopefully more interactive - as in the healed NPC will eventually be healthy enough to get up and walk around). I am also looking for a way to incorporate a negative karma decision into this and a later update will most likely associate it with a quest ( a sort of recover medical supplies for the good player, recover chems for the evil player).

The cocktail lounge and kitchen will be manageable in a pretty cool way, and hopefully the other floors will be given lots to do for the next update.

 

As I said, the next update will still add more floors, but I am considering not allowing access to the empty floors until the update that will add content.
