is there a certain number of quests you can do at one time?

I'm getting kind of confused. I talk to people who obviously have quests that need to be done, I've even seen some of the quests on the UESP Wiki site, but then they don't give the quest to me. I have a lot of quests I'm not doing at the moment because I'm saving them until later, but why can't I do these quests? It's really frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i'm not sure if i understand you correctly

you know of specific quests, but you don't get them??

because some quests have specific requirements that need to be done before you get them, but most quests don't

 

if you read about the quests in the USEP site, read about getting the quest, and see if you can get the quest

if you can't, it may be a conflict with mods or something (and yes, it could happen)

 

as for the main question, you can get as many quests as you want, and do them however you want, except for specific quests that require others to be done before (like the guild quests)

so if you can't even get the quests, see what you are doing wrong

because you should be able to get the quests, even if you can't do them (like the shrine quests, that require a character of a specific level to start the quest)

I don't know what happened. I ended up getting the quest, but I had to go and talk to the guy about 3 different times. I'm guessing it was probably some sort of glitch.
