I also like the online game Territory War. Mindless combat is always fun once in a while.

If I ever need to blow off some steam, a little mindless MP action with a good FPS always does the trick. Of course, I've never actually been able to go online (yet!), so I can't really tell you what game I like to go around in and mindlessly frag people :D . Th enew Enemy Territory: Quake Wars I guess would be agood game, but I'd have to say UT is stil lthe best.

I got some new games, and replayed some old ones, and I just remember one of the best games I have ever played! It's quite old...

Transport Tycoon ^^

I loved this game. I still have it, and you can too (its freeware now, 8mb download, google it).

Recently I just played Bioware's Jade Empire, and it still proves they know how to handle a RPG. The begining bored me, but the game was worthwhile after 1/4th or so. Really good story, and a nice plot twist, a la Kotor (made by bioware as well).

I don't have any mindless frag games, but I was planning on getting CS:Source.

Ah, perfection in all its forms! I agree that the game is a little boring at first, but after you played a while, you can't just walk away from it! :D

A good mindless frag game would be Serious Sam, or maybe Painkiller. They're both decent, with good graphics and nice gameplay.

Seriously though, skip these games, and get Grim Fandango, otherwise you have missed a classic!

I've heard of Jade Empire before, but I've never actually seen it. At all.

Serious Sam OTOH I've actually played, and while I must say it is a rather fun, mindless, and rather simple FPS to play, it's not really my cup 'o tea. DOOM (the original DOS version) was, and in fact still is, a favourite of mine to go on mindless killing sprees with. And with the quite litterally countless mods made (and being made) for this one true classic, I don't think it will EVER die.

I remember playing an early Serious Sam game a couple years ago. I don't remember much of it, but I do remember this particullar scene where an alien was using a public toilet. It scared me every time. And, how can I forget that line:

"What are you waiting for, Christmas?"

Tib, that was Duke Nukem :P

Serious Sam was mindless indeed, and IMO got boring after about the thirtythird wave of enemies on each level. Duke Nukem was far FAR better, and always will be!

Hehe, I'm sure that Duke won't go to heaven! Heck, I'm not even sure he'll go to hell when he dies, thanks to all the monsters he's killed! :D

Oh, and when do You think Duke Nukem: Forever will come out? Because it sure lives up it's name: Forever! I think the game has been under progress for about 10 years, or maybe that was Prey? Don't remember.

I've looked on 3D Realms' (the creators of Duke) website, and so far nothing has been updated since last year (or the year before, as matter of fact... ). I don't think 3D Realms cares for their fanbase enough to actually get DN:F moving towards a target release date.

In the mean time, if you have an old Duke Nukem or Duke Nukem: Atomic Edition ".grp" file, you'd be able to play it with pseudo-3D graphics (similar to Quake's or Quake II's graphics) using the Duke Nukem High Resoultion Pack, or simply Duke Nekem HRP.

Do you know what a great board game is? Loopin' Louie! It may be a little childish, but that game it GREAT! You must try it at least once in your life! if you don't...I'll have to kill you  !

Edit: Another great game I just played today is Betrayal at House on the Hill. It's short (good), entertaining (good), unexpected (good), and has great replay value (great). However, if you don't already have it...don't bother trying to get it. The game was, infortunately, discontinued.
