locofilipino Posted March 28, 2011 Share Posted March 28, 2011 my brother has been messing with my mods and he downloaded one and didint like it!so he went into my data folder and tryed to delete the mod but then ended up deleting EVERYTHING so he uninstalled the game and is reinstaling it nowwill that reset the data folder and everything inside it? i know i wont get my mods back but will it make the game vanilla?HELP! PLEASE! yes, If you have Dead Money you will have to download that, and any updates from steam, though that may happen regardless when you start the game. bben46 Posted March 28, 2011 Share Posted March 28, 2011 Reinstalling using the uninstall provided with the game does not remove anything except the original game content - it does not remove anything installed by any mods. So whatever was causing the problem that made him decide to nuke the game will probably still be there when he restarts. :confused: Instead, rename or delete the data folder after uninstalling to get rid of mod leftovers. Also rename or delete the save game folder. The new install will create a new data folder and a new save game folder when it starts. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
