Kinetiq
So i was trying to find a black hood to match a black robe, and i noticed that shady sam has what i was after, it would be easy to kill him for it. Thing is i dont know if he is needed in a later quest, as with other npc's like the pirates on the water front? Other than the crown icon being on important charcters, are npc's (like shady sam) benificial if kept alive?
Rhydderch Hael
Sam's just a vendor. He's very convenient for things, but not quest-breaking. One of the Surrille brothers in Skingrad wears one as well, and he's not very important, either (it is his brother that is the focus of Glarthir's attention). He's certainly more expendable than Shady Sam. You can get black Necromancers' hoods by attacking some dungeons populated by the Men in Black (the boss-class in those dungeons, Necromancer Adepts, wear them), or play through the Mages' Guild questline (since Necros are the villains of that tale). The hoods are plain black and will not elicit an adverse reaction from Mages' Guild members, though the Necromancers' robes certainly will. Kinetiq
Thanks, :D i was wanting the hood and robe outfit cause i was about to join the mages guild anyway and thought this outfit would suit the missions better than a heavy armour set. Now iv got a couple more options where to find it thanks. P.s You wouldnt know where to find any black gloves as that is the only missing link for the outfit now? o_O
Povuholo
P.s You wouldnt know where to find any black gloves as that is the only missing link for the outfit now? o_OIf possible, you could wear a dark brotherhood robe because that one also covers your hands with gloves. Rhydderch Hael
...P.s You wouldnt know where to find any black gloves as that is the only missing link for the outfit now? o_OOutside of mods, the only "gloves" in the game (that being a Clothing item worn on the hands) are the Wrist Irons your character started out with in prison. Anything else is a form of armor for the hands. The heavy armor gauntlets of Orcish or Ebony construction are pretty dark in color and should match. The gauntlets of the Blackwood Company look like Steel gauntlets, but are black (I believe the only way to acquire any is playing through the Fighters' Guild questline). The aforementioned Dark Brotherhood offers the Black Hand robe that, like the Mythic Dawn robes, covers the hands and feet as well with black shoes/gloves. The trouble with the Black Hand robe is that it's already enchanted and hence you can't alter it from its Stealth-oriented modifiers. If you desire the Black Hand robes nevertheless, you don't even need to join the Dark Brotherhood to acquire one: two seemingly common citizens of Cyrodiil (I won't tell you exactly who they are, but one lives in Bruma, the other in Leyawiin) have robes locked away in their homes (it would be a theft, however). Rhydderch Hael
... The gauntlets of the Blackwood Company look like Steel gauntlets, but are black (I believe the only way to acquire any is playing through the Fighters' Guild questline). ...I wrote this because I wasn't sure if Jee-tah, the Blackwood knight who hangs around the Lonely Suitor in Bravil, actually wore the gauntlets (I knew he had the cuirass, but he obviously doesn't have the greaves). Turns out that Jee-tah does have the Blackwood gauntlets, so you do not even have to Join the Fighter's Guild to gain a set— you can slay or otherwise finagle those gauntlets off the fellow in Bravil (he's killable). Dezedor
i was once thrown in the Bruma jail and somehow came in a jail-fight with Jomund, which 5 levels later became a problem when trying to solve "two sides of a coin"
