nivea
I have hunted and looked and searched, but alas have not found a safe way to change your race mid game. I would love for someone to perhaps find a way around this problem, or at least a easy way to remove and add perks? Currently when you type showracemenu and change your race it stops a lot your perks from working, this wouldnt be such a problem if you didnt have to remove and add them all back in by hand. So is there a mod like this out there or any idea on how to get around this? yes I know of psychoelfs character editor, but it doesnt do anything I am asking about. also is there a save editor floating around for the PC? bethjunkie
The easiest way I know to do it is to type out all of your remove/add perk commands into a batch file and run it in game when you change your race. The Desert Succubus mod offers a "Re-Spec" feature for players who want to convert an existing character to that race. It might be worth peeking in there to see how it works. bethjunkie
Make a text file with Notepad with all of your perk codes on it. For example: player.removeperk <perk id>player.removeperk <perk id>player.addperk <perk id>player.addperk <perk id> Save it and name it something like Perks. Place the text file into your NV folder on the same level as the NV exe (not the data folder). When you go into the game, type batperks and that will run all of the console commands you typed into the text file. It's a lot less painful than trying to type them into the console one by one :)
