momafcrs
To explain more clearly, when I have at least one enemy relatively close in front of me, my currently equipped weapon's fire rate becomes really inconsistent and the weapon doesn't always shoot when I click (it's mostly noticeable with pistols). Here's how 10mm pistol behaves for example : Left click->weapon firesLeft click->weapon firesLeft click->nothing happensLeft click->weapon firesLeft click->nothing happensLeft click->weapon firesLeft click->weapon firesLeft click->nothing happens This happens both in the vanilla game and modded (I just tested it). I also lowered all of the graphic options to low to try and eliminate the possible frame rate issues as factor. I have noticed this a long time ago but it really started to annoy me lately, so I'm wondering if anyone else has maybe noticed it? Is it a bug, a feature or something else? MotoSxorpio
Could be cycle time for animations vs. AI packages--taking CPU time. I wouldn't worry unless you have eight core cpu and notice. EDIT: for addendum--- I have a mod I made on a dual core, which has one version of an automatic fire weapon that should cause anim failure at some point (800 rnds per minute or something, for a pistol) You shouldn't be able to count the brass, but on my newer eight core..I can count the brass, and it doesn't really look like that many rounds, cuz the mag gets emptied so fast. Good luck! EDIT: Elaborative addendum--- On the dual core setup, the magazine for the pistol would end up on reload to be horizontal to the pistol, rather than the vertical you would think. The audio, by second clip/mag, would be 2 to 4 shots behind, by the time I would unload a third magazine, well...lag would be so bad that I'd have to just crouch and wait for a few seconds to let the scripts catch up. momafcrs
Interesting. Well I'm actually on dual core right now (Core 2 Duo E7400 @2.80 GHz), so I guess it could be that my CPU is unable to process that info fast enough (but oddly enough it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm playing vanilla or with ~ 100 mods installed). Anyway, I managed to make it less noticeable by installing the JIP Selective Fire, specifically by using the "Rest Ye Finger" option (makes semi-auto weapons auto-fire when holding down the button).
