TheifBrute
I know there has been some requests regarding re-spawning of captives in the past, but noone seems to been interested. Most requests wasnt even answered at all??! After some days of struggling with GECK, Fo3Edit....I think I understand why. Its seems impossible to make the captives to respawn after being freed once!!? If you kill them before freeing them, they will respawn (if the template has the respawn-flag set), but if you free them they will NEVER respawn again (no matter flag). I even freed one captive and immediately killed him, but that didnt make him respawn either?? I'm totally lost regarding this, and I beg some merciful and enlightened soul in here to guide me in some way or inform me if this is an editor bug etc.I have searched the forum (and web) for info to no avail. Edited September 6, 2015 by TheifBrute
JW1
The OnLoad block of their script disables them when they have been freed. They should thus hang around until they are unloaded (by the player moving away) and then never be seen again.
TheifBrute
Thanks for the answer, but I'm not sure I follow.I've seen the disable command in the script, but I cant understand why they wont respawn after 72 hours (or even more) after being freed??I've seen that their ai-package makes them run to a far of destination, and then "vanish" after the cell purge. I really cant see why they cant respawn when they are "deleted" from the game (+72 hours)? As I mention above, I've even killed one, just after being released, to see to it that the body was cleaned out of the game after 72 hours and it was, but he didn't respawn anyway. I've also tried some respawn-scipts that uses standard triggers (spawn points) to spawn NPCs, they all works for all types of NPCs,....except for captives. Is there anyway to change the captive-script to make them respawn after they "vanishes" from the game (running away) and the standard 72 hours wait? (English is not my native language!?) Whitemorn
I'm having a similar issue, yet different. I made a wispmother into a ghost to haunt my tomb. When I enter the first time, she's there, but she never respawns when I leave and return. I've tried the respawn scripts with the entry door as the trigger but that isn't working. I'll let you know if I find out what to do.
