Lowered carnage

Hi,

I've seen in trailers and screenshots the huge amount of blood near the corpse of a creature and on the creature itself along with your weapon. Yet I do not have that. The default visual setting are low on my PC, but when I increase them the game still works perfectly, so I doubt adding some gore will be bad. The only problem is that I don't know how.

Please help and thx in advance.

First of all, set the blood decals option in the game on high.

There are also a few settings in the oblivion.ini file you can change. You can find your oblivion.ini file in the 'My documents/my games/oblivion' folder. Search for these lines, and edit whatever you want:

fMinBloodDamage=1.0000

If you decrease it, you will spill blood at lower damage levels already.

iMaxDecalsPerFrame=6

Increasing this will increase the amount of blood that can be on the floor at a time.

bDecalsOnSkinnedGeometry=0

Set it to 1 (Probably already is, with high decal settings) to be able to see blood on creatures, npc's and the weapons.

fDecalLifetime=10.0000

How many seconds it takes for blood to disappear.

These tweaks can have an impact on performance, so don't raise them too much.

There's also this mod. But that might give a little too much blood.

Thanks a milion no a bilion. There seems to be a problem though there is no blood on WEAPONS and very rarely on the floor and NPCs. Nevertheless there is a lot of carnage on the walls and fists.

P.S. Like I said even when I DOUBLE the visual effects on my PC the difference is hardly noticable (a little longer loadings (10 sec)) so with a little lower of the double it looks awsome and it doesn't lag :).
