Random crashes

Hey guys, I came across this problem quite out of the blue the other day and I can't seem to get rid of it. Most likely some problems with some mods which I downloaded, but I dont know which one! Could you guys please inform me of a tool of somekind for Oblivion which can give me a more detailed error report than the one that the "Dont Send" messages give? Thanks, I would really appreciate it :)

The wierd thing is I've had far more mods on oblivion before and it's worked fine - and most of them were the same as they were to this list. I thought it may have been either Claudia or HGEC High resolution textures, because after downloading them and a lot of other mods the game decided to mess around. Couldn't have been too sure - but it only crashes when I load my character's game or try to create a new one. Never had a problem with oblivion like this one before :P! Usually my mods are more universal as well XD but at one point I decided to reinstall oblivion and start from the beginning to try and fix some problems and ironically i've just made more! XD

Um, no, that's not a readable mod list. Please see here on how to post a load list, but better still do it through Wrye Bash if you have it, as much more helpful information like disabled, inactive mods etc. is availble for diagnosing problems.

Ok, you seem to have mostly HGEC/DMRA armour/clothing mods, and apart from DLC, Midas Spells and X.Races not a lot else. Now, with X.Races and Midas Spells you really need a Bashed Patch. You should also be running BOSS (before you build a patch). Also you do not need KT_CustomRaceFix.esp with the latest version of UOP, so you can dump that.

You need to install Wrye Python 03a first, and then Wrye Bash.

Ok - I've just managed to get Wyre Bash up and running - and two items (DLC SPELL TOMES) and (DLC THIEVES DEN) were encircled with red which I found strange. I'm trying to get a Bashed Patch up and running for it but I don't really know how.. Could you tell me what BOSS is as well please mate?

BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) is a database of known mods and sorting software. It will sort any of your mods in it's database in a proper order. Any that BOSS is unaware of you can add to your own userlist.txt. Run BOSS before you build your Bashed Patch. Always remember this after adding/removing/editing any mod:

 

BOSS --> BASH

 

Build your Bashed Patch according to this:

 

 

 

When you press 'Rebuild Patch', make sure that you check the following:

 

Merge Patches

Import ... [Go through each 'import' option and if there's a mod, not csv in the right window, check it, and the Import... option.]

Cobl Catalogs [ONLY if you use Cobl]

Contents Checker

Leveled Lists

Race Records

SEWorld Tests [ONLY if you have Shivering Isles installed]

 

The Globals and Tweaks are optional, but should not be checked unless you know what you are doing, and should be left alone while you are troubleshooting. Everything else should be left unchecked UNLESS you know that you need it.
