Spreading the love...

I posted some screens over at the official forums recently and thought I'd venture over here, seeing as this really is THE SOURCE for all things Oblivion. This is my first proper playthrough and I can't help but take screens, especially having discovered the beauty of Qarl III, Qarl LOD Normal Maps and Natural Environments. Apologies for the layout - I banged it together in a bit of a hurry.

For those interested, it's a Core2Duo 2.6, 8800GTX with 4gb RAM. Game runs at around the 60-80fps mark with the various mods installed, at 1680x1050.

More to come, probably every frickin' day if this keeps up. Damn you, Bethesda!

To the screensmobile

EDIT: Oh, and here are some of my old Flickr ones that I've ingeniously managed to lose. Wasn't happy with the jpeg compression that was going on here.

Some more

Remember it's not the card which is making things look that awesome, Qarl's Texture Pack III (or II) does that.. The card just makes sure the game stays playable when using it :P

I recently bought a Geforce 8800GTS. But when I finaly got it I was shocked to find that the damn thing is to big to even fit on a stock Dell board. As it turns out I will need a new board and case to make it fit. I was a saaaaad panda :( .

In the wonderfull society I live, there's a refund system ;).

From what I see on those screenshots, as pretty as it is, I wouldn't pay 800$ for that. The resolution is immense, my monitor is too small for me to play on that. Well, congratulation on the purchase, that card ought to hold you for some two-three years, maybe even four if you don't give it too much importance (graphical speaking).

Does the 8800 support dx10?
