CaptainPatch
Full disclosure: I have 39 mods installed and active, so a conflict may be a distinct possibility. I wonder if anyone has ever encountered this bug. I'm on the quest to gather some seeds from the Great Punga Plant, and I've just entered the Sacred Bog. I've advanced to the 2nd door portal (change of map transition). But upon getting through that door, I get a black screen and an audio glitch that sounds something like a jackhammer or submachinegun burst. (Three "blat-blat-blat-blat-blat" sequences.) Thereafter the screen clears and I have just gotten through the door. After that, I have 20 seconds where I can advance into the new area. After those 20 seconds, the screen blackens and I get the jackhammer/SMG burst audio sequence and I reappear back at the entrance to the area. I've fully explored as much of the area that I can accomplish in 20 seconds, but I have not discovered any kind of Safety Zone or Finish Line to stop the looping. Unless I can bypass or eradicate this bug, it means that the Point Lookout DLC is done for. This particular quest line is pretty much THE Main Quest of the DLC. CaptainPatch
Does the problem persist if you disable your mods? That's the next step, systematically disabling the mods to see where the glitch stops. I have ..... three, four, five, six, seven or so mods that are integral to this 30th level character. I certainly hope it's none of those. Time to go play NMM tweaking. This should only take about 6 hours or so. UPDATE: Only took two hours, but to nail it down, I had to uncheck mods aall the way back to vanilla GOTY. Bringing back mods 5 at a time proved... weird. EVERYTHING I had active worked, plus several others that I had disabled earlier for potential conflict reasons. What I discovered is that what was causing the bug was that I had a mod Follower tagging along. Apparently the Sacred Bog is one location that MUST be done solo. The simple workaround was to just leave the Follower someplace and proceed to the Sacred Bog alone.
