darkedge42392
Skyrim is set 200 years after Oblivion, which was set about 30(?) years after Morrowind, which had crossbows. Oblivion is only 8 years after Morrowind. :P

That would really ruin everything

midtek
If crossbows are done, they must have ironsights :PRiiight... Total agreement. If a choice given to me, throwing axe/knife/spears seem more fit into Skyrim regardless of era. Who pulled Apache gunship with stinger missles btw? xD
ITOS
Who pulled Apache gunship with stinger missles btw? xDI always wanted to fight the classic fantasy enemies with modern weaponry. You would have to balance it with numbers, promoting ammo conservation, but I think it would be fun.

LordWushin
Oh oh and nukes, you can never have enough nukes! Crossbows and spears and really all those other things are easy to make and put in, I believe it is just the other "more important stuff" that they need space for. I believe in Beth's last podcast they said something that they had to cut out a lot of dialoge just to fit the whole game onto the cd. Imagine that for Skyrim, we may be using blue ray!!!
