ChronicMastress Posted September 19, 2015 Share Posted September 19, 2015 So instead of making a forum (which I hope this is the right spot. sorry for any inconvenience if it is, just point me in the right direction) for weeks I have been trying to fix the problems I've encountered on my own. but its been about 8 weeks and I'm getting very tired of not being able to play my game past the second quest and only for about 30 minutes to an hour with out having a CTD. Sometimes I can fix it at one spot but then it pops up in another spot and no matter what i try it won't work. for example it's now crashing right after getting out of the cave with Hadvar, on my way to Riverwood. fixed that can't remember how. second example on my way to whiterun to see the jarl, would always CTD around the giant, then i would try to detour around the giant and it would still CTD. Can't figure it out so now i am going to list my system and mods, (even without mods it still did the same thing, already tried removing them all, making a new game ect ect) but i do have a lump sum of mods. My computer:ALIENWARE14Intel core i5-4200M CPU @ 2.50GHz8.00 GB RAMWindows 7 NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M Load Order: I'm not sure what all too put i know some of the stuff isnt updated and thats because I followed the RealVision ENB instruction (I didn't put all of them though) if that is a problem let me know. I've updated most of mods some I've tried but the arrow still shows up. I follow Gopher's instructions on a lot of stuff but maybe I'm doing it wrong. I just really want to play my game with at least some of my mods installed. I use LOOT and Tes5edit. Any help is greatly appreciated. ZelenEagle Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 you said that the game did that even without mods, that probably means that you installed some script heavy mods and then deleted them, resulting in some scripts that keep hanging, if you delete EVERYTHING (not just on steam) with that i mean your skyrim folder in SteamApps and you skyrim folder where your .ini is and then reïnstall it should be fixed, or you can try to use save game script cleaner wich may help (and dont worry you dont look ridiculous) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ChronicMastress Posted September 20, 2015 Author Share Posted September 20, 2015 Thanks for the reply, I was thinking of doing that but i decided to mess around with it waiting for my other game destiny to download and i decided not to run it as administrator and it didn't crash at the first spot so I'm going to play until the second spot if it does CTD then I'll do that. Please use Memory Blocks Log to find out what yours should be set to.defaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768scrapHeapSizeMB=256------------------------------------------------------------------------- For example. installing Wrye Bash and making a Bash Patch could help, it will show you mods that need to have masters reordered also. I'm guessing tho and this is a guess going by what your say I maybe wrong, 8Gb ram if your using and HD textureswill bottom out some what quickly if your not running a memory patcher, I use "Phinx Natural" ENB simply becuase itis very light on the system, maybe a wee test disable the ENB and see if you last longer, make sure your grass is notset to heavy, I don't see the DLC patch's for Climates of Tamriel in your list or the Falskaar one either nor do you have the Unofficial texture Patch. When you run loots do you get ANY red messages at all? I'm no expert but that might give you some food for thought that helps. my first guess would be tho that, that 8Gb ram would be better at 16 and the 750 has what 2Gb ram, so I'd be thinking memory might be a little bit of a problem specially with that ENB, it's great but I believe its quite heavy on your system, Keep in mind this is just my two bob's worth of food for thought Is you game in the default path, eg c:programs etc if so I'd move that to a libaray out side those folder eg: c:\game\Skyrim or somit like that Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ChronicMastress Posted September 20, 2015 Author Share Posted September 20, 2015 I do have SKSE, I have only enabled the papyrus logs in my skse.ini. I always start up the game with skse. i will look into the ENB but i had this problem way before i even installed RealVision. I havent moved my game outside of program files im honestly scared id mess something up, but if problems consist i guess ill have no choice but to try. I have experienced a crash just now but this is what happened, i have updated the dragonslayer mod and i crafted the wrong one without the original and i equipped it and nothing showed up so i went to walk out of the riverwood inn with it still equipped, not sure if that was the reason for the CTD or not but that's what i did Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
KiwiHawkNZ Posted September 20, 2015 Share Posted September 20, 2015 Kia ora If you have a missing mesh that should not crash you, I have to wonder if it's not a good idea to uncheck all mods and jus run the default game see how that runs then load the Unofficial patchs and see how that runs and build slowly. Keep in mind tho your game will crash if you try to load a char that has saves with mod esm's saved in it so for testing you would need mak a new char Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
