Taiine
Lockpicking can be either boring for some or a nightmare for others. For me it's a little of a and a little of b. You never been to plop in a single point into the lock picking tree if you know what you're doing and have picks to spare. But personally I'd like something a bit more intune for roleplay as thives should know the ins and outs of locks. The perks in the tree only really aim to make that sweat spot bigger. What I'd like is a little something more. Now I've seen videos and people report that there is a 'click' when your pick is over the sweat spot... personally I call BS as the people recording these videos have their picking set to legacy already, and are trying it on novice locks. I found from my own attempts (many MANY attemps) that it is very easy to fake this so called click by slightly shifting the mouse up or down and it shows no sign of you doing such as you smoothly move the pick side to side. Plus there are mods that boost the size of this spot. One such video was cropped in such away you could tell he was using lockpick pro as it cut off just below where the mod displays. But now I'm getting side tracked. What I'd like to do is make this so called click be a real deal. 'Role playing' as a thief from the start we should know our locks, and there are many showings in movies of people cracking locks by listening. I want to do the same, pretty much make this so called 'click' a real deal. A distinctive sound when you locate that sweat spot, but given the harder locks would still need tyou to tweak a bit to find that perfect spot. If not a sound maybe add in something like Lock Pick pro, but have it instead of a clear UI, make it be faint marks that appear on the lock. As if other thives have gotten in. The marks not exactly pinpointing the spot, but much like lock pick pro, could show the general area other thives may have tried to get a general idea.
