Modify Weapon Stats

I have been trying to modify the stats on the Cat (Lynx) school steel and silver swords. I have been editing the file "gameplay\items\def_item_crafting_weapons.xml", in particular the 'slashing damage' or the 'silver damage' depending. When I re-add this file to the bundle I lose the icon and all of the right-hand text in the crafting recipe.

I have looked for any other file that might be confused by a changed damage stat, but so far haven't found any. However, I have only looked through the patch.bundle. Obviously I am missing something. If someone would point out the obvious, I'd be grateful

As a note, doing nearly the same with the armor/boots/gloves/pants (modifying the armor rating) gives the expected results, no issues yet.
