BluexWarfarex Posted September 26, 2015 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Hello, I recently discovered a weapon mod I was interested in trying but it appears that something is broken in the textures and the mod author isn't supporting it anymore. If anyone would be willing to take a look into it, this is the mod http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/56816/? I've tried going into the geck and redirecting files and playing around with the txt files but i'm not very experienced in these things so i'm not sure what I need to do. In game the mesh seems to be fine but the texture comes as a mess of colors like a rainbow. Any help would be appreciated. ^_^ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The files are loose. textures\weapons\ahztek\remington 1187\remington2.dds Oh yeah it also doesn't have a normal map so definition won't really be there. I'm just trying to get it to work, since the mod is having texture issues. I don't know where the path you put is from either. Is that something i need? textures\weapons\ahztek\remington 1187\remington2.dds Yeah the mod is not set up to properly place the assets. You need the folders that are present in the dds file path. So Textures > Weapons > Ahztek > Remington 1187 make sure you have those folders. The remington folder goes in Ahztek, the ahztek folder in Weapons and Weapons goes in Textures. Yes I have it on through FOMM. I tried again In game and instead of the solid rainbow texture it's matching to whatever is near. I also tried turning archive invalidation off and on again and its the same result. Have you managed to get the weapon working in game? Also, could I need another mod installed for this to work? I searched up ahztek and thats a different mod author from the one that made this mod. I took another look at the model and noticed the issue (hopefully) the last one. Go to the dds in your FNV remington folder click once on the remington.dds then after a second or 2 click it again to bring up the rename and rename it to remington2.dds Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
