RushinAssassin6
My game keeps crashing during a load of any save. I tried a new game and it let me go without crashing. I then saved once I gained control as a baby, excited the game and tried to re-load; no change. Can anyone help? Purr4me
Too many overwritten mods assets to be Viable, massive conflicts seen,no compatability patches posted, no info as to where it's all intalled "at".No merged patch seen. Loot ? will not help, No sorting software can help with this combination of data "MODS". If all is installed into the games main Data folder? it's a loss. Use Mod Organiser to install and handle such a load out / choices direct this. Kitty
RushinAssassin6
I use NMM, what should I do at this point?
RushinAssassin6
Well I'm deleting every single mod off NMM and going to re-install and try no conflicts. What's a good way to keep that from happening?
Purr4me
Well I'm deleting every single mod off NMM and going to re-install and try no conflicts. What's a good way to keep that from happening?Use of software made explicitdly for fallout only, avoid traps, avoid missleading information. Version control of software controls what you see and use...use of software with many types of controls makes things bad, hard to control or determine what went wrong. version control handles things like "is this mod compatable with fose ? <<<<< understand ( WHAT MISSLEADING )is...",when it should say " fose use only or requires Fose explictitly" or version of the game, retail, or steam 1.7.... is NOT the same engine, it is changed from default installed versions or updates....so to further explain.... mods require specificly designed control due to updates or the authors use of the software "used" to create the mod in the first place, if you do not read things, important things like how it works and with what other mods it does not work with...then you fail at adding on new things to EN-hance you game, what you do gain is corrupted data because the mod made for fose..in this example means you did not read things.... if so, then you know....if not? meaning you did reand things, mods made that react badly to fose instructions also mess things up. All of this is to answer a fundamental question: the above.the one thing not available is a catogory here seperating fose made versions (vs) NON-FOSE MADE. Again, only one example.there are other midigating curcomstances too. specificly made mods used to ENHANCE other mods further requiring other mods on top of those and with it comes all the instructions that lead to a down fall IF not read. current lap top is intel machine...new browser, inadiqate spell checking. for give any mispelled words. So, mod Organiser is a moding tool that exceeds any thing you might need for this game...specific to your needs and with it, you have a great deal moremodding control. Nmm is an over all game installer mod controls, relies on too much of you knowing just what to do, over writes data that can not be undone, MO by tannin42 does not do this, epic conflict of intrest is going on here so it's up to you to investigate things for your self, I CAN only show you what can be done...as...ASKED. kitty
M48A5
If you are only playing Fallout 3, with your level of knowledge, you should use FOMM to manage your mods and BOSS to sort your load order. Mod Organizer has a high learning curve and is not for the novice. FOMM for Fallout 3 only: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/640/? if playing Fallout 3 only, use old FOMM B.O.S.S.: http://boss-developers.github.io/

M48A5
What's the big difference between FOMM and NMM? NMM seems easier and quicker to use after playing around with FOMM a little bit If you are completely clueless as to how to install mods, NMM is the way to go. If you have intermediate computer knowledge, FOMM does a better job of installing FOMods and is designed to be used with the Fallout games. Hence the name, Fallout Mod Manager. NMM is an attempt to be everything to all games. Hence the name, Nexus Mod Manager. It does not handle some of the older mods for Fallout 3 properly. That is the reason for people having problems install some FOMods when the files are in two or more parts. FO3 Wanderer's Edition is a case in point.
