Freezing and Crashing 5-30 minutes into game.

I'm getting quite frustrated with this one.

My problem is that within 5 to 30 minutes of playing New Vegas, my game will either Freeze, get stuck in an Infinite Loading cycle, or outright crash (but will prevent going back to desktop). Here's a more detailed list of when and where these things commonly happened:

-My game has frozen everywhere from the moment after I shot someone (literally freezing as his head exploded, which was cool), to the moment after fast travel (after the new landscape had already rendered) to the obvious loading screens.

-Crashing normally happened either right after a loading screen, or what I believed to be quests updates (not repeatable, so I'm leaning away from that)

-Infinite loading screen normally happened about twenty to thirty minutes into a session.

-Also experienced the flickering black textures of a Running Out of Memory error while sniping Powder Gangers inside the NCR CF, but managed to finish sniping, get inside the first room (where Meyers is), kill all the Powder Gangers inside, and get outside (into the NCRCF yard) before my game crashed.

At first, the problem was constant crashing whenever I autosaved, so I disabled autosaves and worked through CASM_NV, but the problem persisted. I thought it was a simple running out of memory error, but every fix ascribed to those threads did not work. I've tried FNV 4gb and FNV 4gb Updated, NVSE with 4gb patcher, and just plain NVSE, but none of them work.

I heard that there was some problem with new Mod Organizer versions, so I downgraded from 1.3.11 to 1.3.3, but that did not work either. I've tried putting -laaexe and the \FalloutModOrganizer.exe arguments into Mod Organizer, both together and separately, with all of the above 4gb options, but to no avail.

I'm also below the total plugin limit (sitting at 123 plugins in total).

Here's my Load Order.

-The esp marked "ILO Patches" just has the various ILO Patch plugins, so no worries there.

-The esp marked "Merged Armor-Weapons patch" is a merged esp for various armors and weapons, and the contained esps are shown on the last image of that gallery.

-Note that while I have NVR3, I've also got FCO's resources enabled, but without any FCO plugins active, as NVR's page recommends.

I'm used to almost all of these mods, except for ILO, the various New Vegas Uncut plugins, and Freeside Open.

Right now, I suspect the problem to be from Freeside Open, as that mod's page mentions needing 4gb patch as mandatory, and mentions the possibility of crashes even with it. I'm really hoping that it isn't, because I like what Freeside Open promises, but I'll disable it if I have to. I don't know if the crashes are more frequent around Freeside, because I haven't been able to get past Primm yet, due to the constant crashes setting me back by ten to twenty minutes.

Can anyone confirm if Freeside Open is notorious for causing this kind of stuff, or is something else in my Load Order causing it?

Are you using a script extender program to launch your game? I ask because if you are having a crash while entering a specific cell then usually that's because of some sort of quest data not properly loading upon entry. In which case, a scripting error is to blame. 90% of the time, CTDs are from scripting errors. Also... 123 active plugins is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many to be running at the same time. But, there are other people better than me who can elaborate upon reducing those plugins down to something that won't crash and burn with a simple sneeze. Have you tried to seeing if the game is slightly more stable while only running 60-80?

I've got NVSE, and am using the 4gb loader with it.

It's not a scripting error, it's RAM. It crashes much faster if I run into a battle or change multiple cells, but will stay stable for longer if I just stay in the same cell.

I've always heard 135 as the plugin limit, and it's worked fine for me; I don't really think it's the total number of plugins. Since that post, I've taken out Freeside Open and a few others, and am down to just 110 plugins currently.

However, I thought of something else that may be causing the 4gb loader to not work - I'm using a Windows 10 computer. It didn't occur to me until after posting that it might be the OS causing the problem, but the few fixes I've seen described on the forum here (deleting the Xbox app, using the original 4gb loader instead of the 4gb Updated loader) have not fixed my problem. If there is a working, cure-all fix to get Windows 10 working with Mod Organizer and the NVSE 4gb loader, I haven't found it yet.

I'm still regularly crashing, no matter where I go. I tested out the scripting possibility earlier, via COC'ing to different cells that have no quests and very few NPCs, yet it's never the same location that I crash at.
