Disabling Cheats?

Hey y'all.

Just looking for a way to disable cheats in Oblivion. You know, the ~ ones. The temptation of it spoils the game for me. I try to make a new file (OK, NO MODS NO CHEATS). In 5 minutes I'm using "tgm".

I've looked at the oblivion_default.ini with no success (can't find anything relevant).

Could someone either

1. Provide a mod of this?

2. Tell me how to alter the game so cheats are disabled?

3. Link me to something that answers my problem?

Thanks

Which cheats are you using? if your using tgm, just type tgm again in the console and it will be disabled. Same ith almost all of those three letter things.

If your using modpcs or modpca, which are skill boosters, there isnt a really good way to get rid of those

Edit: Try changing bAllowConsole in the ini to 0. havent ried myself, should work though. this will just stop from opeining the console, and wont switch the cheats you used back.

Thanks mate. Just that I know typing "tgm" will undo it, it's just I want to remove the console commands cheats completely so I'm not tempted to cheat.

EDIT: Can't find "bAllowConsole". Little brother cracked the disk, have to have a no-CD patch. After a botched attempt by me to purge the game of mods, I accidently f*cked it up. I need to reinstall, a friend has a copy of the originl disk (burned)...

press ctrl+f while in the ini and type in bAllowConsole. this should find it. too bad about the disk though... go to [address removed] and u should be able to find a pretty good copy of the game...

EDIT: Removed the address from your post. Please don't post piracy sites here, it's against the rules.

Ive had similar temptations... but not quite to the extent that i tgm when i start a game... more things like when i run out of lockpicks on a chest i get frustrated and use 'unlock'... or if i have to reload a fight for the umpteenth time because some tiny little thing right at the end caused me to die i get even more frustrated and go through typing 'kill' on everything whilst saying "yeh you like that bi.tch'" to the machine and sadisticly laugh...

I just dont have the discipline to keep myself from it lol, ive accepted that.

i dont even know what tgm is, is it god mode. serisously though oblivion is a easiest game i ever play in term of fighting the enemy.

the console is extremely useful. "tm" for remove to menu for screenshot, "tfc" also, i had to type "tg" everytime i kill someone because the grass is thick and 6ft tall i can't see anything in it. "tcl" is useful when i get stuck or then i want to talk to someone but they are within a piece of rock or a wall.
