Psywing
Yep, every elf in my game is mute, High Elves, Wood Elves, you name it, they're mute. I know it's because of a mod I (possibly) installed incorrectly, and it really doesn't take too much away from the overall experience of Oblivion. I'd still like to know how I can give them all back they're voices, should I reinstall Oblivion, or is there another way?
elpiggo
Try removing the mod, if you know which one it is. If you didn't install the sound files that came with it, that might be the problem. Myabe the mod assigns new voice files for the elves, but you haven't installed it.
Switch
You could try deleting the Voices folder, then using Oblivion Mod Manager (or one of the many BSA extract utilities also available on TESSource) to extract the Oblivion - Voices1.bsa and Oblivion - Voices2.bsa. That should remove and replace any broken voice files.
Psywing
Ok, I have OBMM, how do I extract the .bsa's
Switch
I think it's under the Utilities button. (Doing this from memory) select BSA Browser from that, then Open. Select the BSA file you want to extract and extract to the Oblivion\Data directory. Sorry if that's a little vague, I don't have OBMM installed right now.
