LadyHonor Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I installed the DAO character created years ago on my PC and now I want to take it off. before I do that I want to be sure it isn't going to break my game. if I use the uninstaller that came with it, it won't mess anything up will it? I don't want to have to reinstall my entire game. the PC it's on doesn't have internet and I would lose all my official DLC's plus it wouldn't be registered anymore.
Thandal Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 The stand-alone CC utility was released a little while before the game itself in 2009.Removing it will have NO impact on your install or your saves. (But why bother? If it ain't broke...?)
LadyHonor Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 in the days when I was a fresh little noobie to the world of modding, I didn't realize people made their awesome looking characters with the toolset and thought they had used the character creator to make them. so I downloaded it and installed it not realizing it was pretty much a waste of time and space since I already had the game. the reason I wanted to remove it tho is because the import screen it brings up every time annoys the stuffings outta me. silly maybe, but I finally got fed up with it entirely. anyway, thank you for your help. it's always appreciated!
