Stuttering on steam version of Skyrim, please help!

Hello! I am sorry to post it here but I just don't know where or what to look for and I'm trying to setup a modified Skyrim game so excuse me if it doesn't belong here! First I must say I have run a heavily moded (no hd textures but still a lot of more data) Skyrim on my laptop in the past (non-steam) with no problems on ultra high settings! But now I installed steam Skyrim and when I launch the game it stutters like hell. To describe it: the framerate doesnt drop (at least it doesn't apprear so) but the screen just reverts for a fraction of a second to what it was a fraction of a second ago = I see the same thing twice(thrice,..) in quick succession. Shadow quality seems to amplify this problem (to even stutter the credits - I see blinking bethesda logo) but even on low shadows its hard to endure to the end of the intro without a headache. I'm on a laptop and while the launcher doesn't recognize my dedicated graphics card (geforce 755M) and insist on running on integrated intel the monitoring program shows my dedicated card is being used (nothing running besides skyrim). I really am at a loss, don't know what to look for and the fixes I found don't seem to do anything for me. Please help!
