Hi I am just wondering what settings you think i should use (I'm a bit confused) and also what setting really runs down the fps because mine are pretty low at the moment.

Heres my rig...

memory: 1.5 GB RAM

Processor: 2.8 GHz intel pentium 4

Graphics card: nvida 7600 GS, 512 MB memory

Operating swsyem: Microsoft windows XP

Cheers, I apprecieate all suggestions :)

well thats better than my rig. If your really lagging out you could always turn off the distant land, youd be suprised just how much it slows you down.

Distant land is a big one, but I can't play the game without it. Try toning down the trees; no distant trees, and lower tree distance. The spectacular distance doesn't improve much and putting it down will help prevent the odd stutter. Window reflections and water detail is not needed and can help things a lot. Put the antialiasing to about 2x or 4x, depending on what rates you get with them.
