kozmuss
So I'm having problems with FO3... I downloaded quite a few mods so thought that was the issue... Did some research and got the archive invalidation invalidated and changed my compatibility on FOSE to windows xp service pack 3 (I'm running win 10). After all this I was still having crashes, so I decided to remove some mods I thought were the issue, for example the NMC texture pack. This I believe caused further issues (purple raiders) and crashes, so I started a new save, before it crashing on leaving vault 101. I don't understand the problem? I use LOOT to validate my load order but it just doesn't seem to be working! Here's my load order:Fallout3.esmAnchorage.esmBrokensteel.esmThePitt.esmZeta.esmUnofficial fallout 3 patch.esmCRAFT.esmCALIBR.esmFO3 wanderer's edition.esmProject Beauty.esmEVE.esmStreetlights.esmEnhanced Weather.espMart's mutant mod.espDCinteriors_comboedition.espI'm relatively inexperienced in modding though I have successfully modded my Skyrim... I don't understand where I've went wrong? I'm honestly considering uninstalling FO3 + mods then reinstalling and just playing vanilla.
M48A5
Does the game start and run with no mods active? Is this a typo: DCInteriors_comboedition.esp? If it is correct, you have the wrong file installed. The newest version of DC Interiors Project has only an .esm StreetLights is in the wrong place. It should be between ThePitt and BrokenSteel. Also, move ThePItt so it is after Anchorage.esm. You are missing the master file (.esm) for Mart's Mutant Mod. This will cause the game to crash during loading. If you are using a mod manager (if you are not, why?), archive Invalidation is built into NMM, FOMM and Mod Organizer, so you do not need the standalone file "ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!". Do not use LOOT to sort Fallout 3 mods. It does not place them correctly in the load order. Posting your complete load order along with your equipment specification would be a big help. kozmuss
I pretty much realised that actually, so I removed mart's mod and DC interiors completely, I don't understand why street lights should be moved in that load order though? I will try it though :).Oh I did not realise that, I use NMM xD I was just desperate for a fix, I have a sort of neanderthal fix to it but it should do the job (I don't mind not having the mods I removed haha) thanks for the help :)
kozmuss
(I haven't experienced crashes since I removed those mods)
M48A5
I don't understand why street lights should be moved in that load order though? Because the mod author says so. From the description page "COMPATIBILITY!!If you have Broken Steel DLC you should have Street Lights before it in your load order. This mod does make streetlights - wasteland obsolete. " Reading and understanding the mod description page and ReadMe will go a long way to eliminating problems.
