MandibleYT
I started modding a few days ago and I uploaded my mod to the fallout nv nexus (so far is just one stat edited weapon) and got feedback saying i should make a custom model, I have NO idea how to even start, I was told blender would be a good tool for making a model. Any tutorials you guys could link me to, or better yet message me skype details and tutor me directly (with a credit in the mod where its due). Shiv1792
Short Answer: Tutor may help but you don't really need one , just dedication and patients. Here is a tutorial I picked off Youtube : but you can find thousands of tutorial across the internet. Just search blender tutorial on a search engine like google or youtube. Long Answer: Welcome to the wonderful world of being a developer. if you want to start games development or modding the basics you need are: Basic drawing skills > if you have an idea draw it out don't worry about your drawing skill if you don't think your drawing are good then practice it takes time son don't worry about it Modeling software > learning blender is a good option as it is open source but also be sure to pick up sculptris is another good on. texturing software > you use this to paint the texture of the asset you have made this can be done in blender but a good open source painting software is Gimp game engine > which ever game you want to put stuff in you need the engine and know how to use it These are just the basic but is should give you some direction on where you want to go but anything you don't know google it if that doesn't work ask on a forum alternatively there are books dedicated to teaching these sorts of software . Hope this helps ps. good luck pps. have fun ppps. ...I'm done sorry thought I could think of something else Edited October 21, 2015 by urbanshiv92
