gedye
Almost the Final Straw! 3dsm -> TCS conversion. The problem I am having generally is that when my objects are loaded in TCS, they remain textureless. I've downloaded TESExporterMax4.x.zip from the Morrowind 3 site and this does not work. I've downloaded FFExporters.zip (Fighting Force) .nif exporter which allowes three extra options (when exporting in 3dsm) to either 'include in main NIF', 'Save as separate NIFs' or 'use original images'.I have tried all three options and STILL nothing. I then downloaded NIFTexture.zip which assures me that I am able to edit, in some way, the properties of textures within NIF files, but when I load it up and open my NIF file, the list of textures remain empty. Nothing seems to be working and so I have made the object in question available on my homepage (direct link, no adverts) It is saved as a .max file minus the textures as they are already available in 3dsm5. They are: Roof: wood_shingle, Building Mid-riff: Stones_Altaqua, and bottom: Stones_Limestone. If someone would be willing to investigate this matter I would be very grateful. The file in question can be found at http://80.56.229.197:3500/gedye/3dsm5/3dsm5.html and is also attached to this file (or should be). Thank You :/
Peregrine
Could you attach or email me the textures? I use max3 for export, so I don't have your texture files. <edit: and check your file again... for some reason when I import, the missing files list is a lot more than those 3 textures.>
gedye
I am unable to attach the files as they are too large (250kb is a wee bit too small), so I've placed it me'webpage (http://80.56.229.197:3500/gedye/3dsm5/3dsm5.html) with a pic of the finished product. As you can see it uses only the three textures (attached as .jpg). It's just a guess but I think the other textures you're seeing are the unused ones in the mapping library (screenshot provided in my file), I did load up quite a few which were never applied. If this is a problem, I could try to resave the .max without the additional ones. Possibly 3dsm 5 has additional information when saving. Note: I am unable to find .map's or .tga's of these textures so I assume the .jpg's are the ones you want. I truely appreciate this, and all your help so far.Regards, Gedye
Peregrine
Well, if you don't have them in .tga format, that answers a lot! Your textures have to be in .tga format, square, and dimensions a multiple of 128 or the game won't read them correctly. So you need to remake the materials so they refer to the newly resaved .tga textures in your morrowind/data files/textures folder.
