Aromov
I've been playing the Fallout Shelter app for a bit and I've been thinking if it was possible to create something like this for New Vegas. You should be able to use a computer terminal located at the vault entrance to construct the interior of your own vault though it probably would be too much work coming up with a elaborate room building function with things like furniture placement so premade room types might be easier. You should also be able to recruit either randomly generated NPCs or ones that already exists in the game to live in your vault and assign them to take care of certain tasks. I would assume the most complicated part of this mod is adding both a romance and child birthing concept along with allowing the child to grow into an adult but last I checked, there are nsfw mods that have already done this. The vault should be scripted to be attacked by varied groups of enemies every few days so you would have to make sure to equip any npcs you have assigned as guards with pretty strong equipment or take care of things yourself, assuming you're even there of course, in which case you would recieve a message stating that your vault is under attack and if you're too far away, you might not be able to get there in time to minimiize the damage. There probably should be a strength based time limit placed on the door before the enemies manage to break through it, maybe 5 in game hours or varied depending on how close you are to your vault. Another complication would be coming up with a food, water and electricity system for this mod. I guess dimming a room's lights wouldn't be too hard to simulate loss of electricty but the consquences of running out of food and water might be harder to implement. Would npcs gradually begin to die off? Would npcs leave the fault on their own accord? Would npcs just loose ethusiasm in working? JimboUK
I would imagine it's doable but it would be a hell of a lot of work.
