Nemolgades
Okay, so I went to Skingrad lately and behold: The surface of the Bridge I was standing on (the one that links both parts of the city together) was totally B-L-A-C-K! As if the texture was missing, but instead of then being pink, it was black. Same with the "walls" of the sidewalks in Chorrol and Skingrad....perhaps all of the Sidewalk-walls in all cities. I deactivated all mods in "Data Files"...but to no effect. So am I having a corrupted texture file here? If so,should I re-install the game? And if I do, will I then be forced to install all my mods from scratch? :( Your help would be appreciated!
Switch
Try extracting the Textures BSA with Oblivion Mod Manager (or a standalone BSA extractor program, both OBMM and those are available on TESSource). That should hopefully fix your problem. (You can find the BSA Browser under the Utilities button in OBMM on the right. Just open the Oblivion - Textures.bsa and extract to the Data directory). Moving this to Technical Support.
Nemolgades
Thanks it worked! 8) :D BUT: Now the retextures of several items in the game through mods (White Glass weapons instead of green, for example) do not appear anymore. Meaning I have green glass again :( I loaded the backup of my Archiveinvalidation.txt but it won't work. How do I sort this out?
Abramul
Odds are that the mod's textures were overwritten, in which case reinstalling the mod should fix it.
