Dead Island Type Weapon Modifications

I was just playing dead Island and a thought came to me. What if we could create awesome weapon mods like this in Fallout New Vegas? Now this would likely be a mod focused more on melee weapons, but guns could be have some weapon mods too I guess. weapons like machetes, tire irons, lead pipes, golf clubs, brass knuckles, power fists, baseball bats, knives, etc. Different effects such as fire, poison, shock (Extra damage to robots and power armor), more damage, etc. If you've played Dead Island you'll know what I'm talking about. Anyway thanks to anyone who read this over.
