Skyrim in Oblivion?

I'm amazed at the number of mods that are comming out that are not only skyrim themed, but attempt to duplicate something in skyrim. I'm sure there are some I've missed but there are already architectural mods that duplicate some of the ruins seen in the trailer as well as furniture mods. I haven't seen any, but I'd bet there are a few weapon and armor mods also.

I'm just curious, did this sort of thing happen among the morrowind community when Oblivion was first announced?

I'm betting that because modding Oblivion is such a big thing, someone will make a mod that will replicate all, or at least some of the skyrim overworld.

Or on the flipside, someone will make Cyrrodil in Skyrim. Either way that would be pretty awesome.

In answer to your question, i haven't been here for long but i would probably guess nobody did because people became experienced with mods later.

Considering that TES games get bigger and bigger and that skyrim is smaller than Cyrodiil that would be mad!

They said they'd be focusing on unique and interesting landscapes more than the massive generated ones you see in earlier games. From a gameplay perspective, this is good because it means fewer long walks through endless forests, but for modders it means less space to avoid conflicts.

They could do the game a bit more like morrowind and make it feel larger than it realy is, cyrodiil feels cramped.

At least they didn't make it in the summerset isles, wouldn't mind an expansion that added that place though.
