CTD after uninstalling ENB

[NerevarII]

Everything worked perfect up until i decided to try and install the Tranquuility ENB . Everything went downhill from there , spent hours trying to fix this , no luck . Removed all files related to tranquilty ENB and problem still persists . Tried everything from load order to checking the "plugins.txt" .... wtf is going on ? Papyrus keeps saying it's missing/can't locate USKPSildAliasDeathScript

Even for the longer logs it still ends with that damned USKP script missing at the end . Is my USKP bugged ?

Disregard the missing EnhancedCharacterEdit if you notice it's not there . Damned NMM screwed that up too . I really don't want to reinstall Skyrim , AGAIN , for literally the 27th time (not an exaggeration) . Although at this point after having to do it so much , what's the difference ? I hate technology , and those who develop half-*** products and can't code properly . Although , what else would keep me frustratingly entertained ?

Did you revert your INI files after uninstalling ENB?

First: logging papyrus won't tell you anything about ENB. Two entirely different entitites, if you will. Disable papyrus logging unless an author asks you to enable it for testing and solving. Logging and tracing WILL AFFECT YOUR FRAMERATE. :smile:

 

Post a spoiler of your enblocal.inI and possibly enbeffect.fx and the corresponding INI in a folder named ENBseries.

Hahaha go figured that works .. I reverted the .ini files . Do you know which lines are edited that would cause such an issue ? Because now it's going to be a pain to re-do my INI tweaks . Could i just remove or edit certain lines next time ?

 

As for papyrus , I know , that's why i stated i removed all ENB and related files . but it's fixed now , just curious about which lines get edited that would cause a crash after uninstall .

Oh and if anyone know's how to get tranquility ENB to run . I'm assuming whatever tweaks it made the Skyrim.ini and/or SkyrimPrefs.ini is what caused it .

 

EDIT : Well it seems to work now . idk if anyone wants to try and figure it out , I'll post back if issues arise .

Haha not really much other than trying to fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling stuff and making different tweaks . All is back to how it was before I did anything (as in before I tried installing the ENB , which I stated in the OP , which started this whole mess) . So in essence , nothing is changed now . It has to be whatever the ENB did . Or that missing script from the papyrus log .

 

So the answer has to lie in the ENB , right ? Or am I wrong ?

Lol. The INI tweaks needed for ENB should be readily documented on any good ENB presets mod page.

 

I borked my game last week by simply dropping a new enbeffect.fx into my enbseries folder. Bloody thing wouldnt start. Removed said file, same problem. How this relates to the game is beyond, but somehow i end up with a corrupt ELFX esp file from it.

 

Anyhow i dont think this is the case for you, cos see i know all the troubleshhoting tricks so the universe finds ways of throwing something entirely new at me. Or maybe just Windows 10, still a bit ambiguous on that

Lol you would think after all the times I've broken my own game , fixed it , helped others figure out issues , i would be able to come up with something too . So I guess we can quick-boil this down to it'll be faster to just reinstall everything from scratch , than waiting for a solution . But don't let me stop you guys (or myself) from finding one anyway , who knows , maybe we'll accidentally come across the cure for death and live forever . Taking a break for tonight , I'll tackle this tomorrow . have so much free time lately .
