Catman66
So, I just had a mod removed by Zaldiir. Ok. No biggie. However it was removed for not having permission to do so. One of the mod creators has been banned from the Nexus. He is on another site that I am a member of. FrogDemon. He has given me permission to take over the mod here on the Nexus. However, the other author, redshift89 hasn't logged into the Nexus in over a year. Anyway, FrogDemon has given me permission to take over the mod. I gave credit where it was needed as FrogDemon told me to do. So, again, please tell me why my re-port of a mod back to Fallout 3 was removed. DrakeTheDragon
If there's questions about the reason for why a mod was removed by a member of staff, these things are best discussed in private via PM with the staff member who removed it.If the staff member doesn't respond to your satisfaction, you're free to contact the site owner, or now better the new Community Manager, about it via the Contact Us link found at the bottom of every page or via PM. Public discussion of a specific moderator action is not permitted on the forums or the site, and as such I'm locking this before anybody gets their account into trouble by going on. But going by what I saw I can say as much already:On the Nexus you need permission from "all" authors you're using assets of, whether they're still active/reachable or not. Not getting a response means "no".There is no simple way out by just stating "if XYZ comes back and wants it removed, it'll be gone" on your description page, as by then the Terms of Service have already been violated.Permission must be obtained from all parties "before" uploading to the Nexus. Your being unable to contact redshift89 for permission should've been the end of it already, as far as uploading of their creations to the Nexus goes. However, you're advised to talk this through with Zaldiir in private, as I don't know any of the details.
LadyMilla
I might also add that, unless otherwise specified by the mod author, a permission given to a specific person must be treated as a non-transferable permission. This means, that if A grants permission to B for using A's assets, B may not 'sub-licence' those assets to a third person.
