Creatures missing animations

Hi guise,

I'm having this issue that is rather frustrating, that is, certain creatures are missing the animations that allow them to function. Affected are Bristlebacks, Rieklings, and Durzogs. The guys still have their standing still animation, snorting/the hot coal dance, but they don't do anything upon death, nor are they capable of carrying out attacks. The durzogs have it so it carries over to Immersive Creatures, but I presume they use the standard Boar animations. I opened it in TES5Edit but tbh I'm not sure where to look for. Any suggestions? Other creatures, whether vanilla Skyrim or added by IC, are not affected. Is Dragonborn-wide

(IC placed bristlebacks in vanilla so at least the bug allowed me to live past level 2, there's that)

In case it matters, this is the total load list. STEP had me clean the vanilla esm's, and I'm using Mod Organizer.

Okay... so after travelling to Solstheim: several other Dragonborn creatures are also affected, such as its Ash-Hoppers and the Daedra. Furthermore, no mining, Standing stones don't 'pray' correctly, telvanni tower gone, and the black books don't respond well. This led to Storn not advancing the 'Gardener of Man' quest, where that one significant thing with one of those books occurs.

I already restored vanilla esm and re-installed dragonborn. Googling around with this info it seems to be a known bug, that may appear at random and for people without any mods at all. I encountered the following suggestions:http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/910839-all-creatures-in-dragonborn-dlc-have-nothing-but-idle-animations/

Go to the Data\meshes folder, look for the following files, and remove them: animationdatasinglefile.txt animationsetdatasinglefile.txt speeddatasinglefile.txt

This suggested by Fore from FNIS, and one that I'd like to be able to try. But, I'm using MO and I don't have an actual Data\meshes folder. I haven't found these txt's in the MO directory, and they're not created by FNIS when I run it either (I know it has template txt's in the original FNIS directory, but not the actual ones in the FNIS Output).

I found a solution. I was using the mod "New Animation Pack", and many animations in the dlc was bugged (the floating in Tel Mithryn, dragon riding animation, Miraaks death scene, and this). When I disabled it, it fixed everything. Turns out a lot of people with animation mods like new animation pack, death animations, AP, momos acrobatics, catwalk, etc, have the same problems. I already tried removing the animation mods that I have in the MO, as well as Death Alternative just bc, but to no avail. These other modpacks mentioned I am not running.

The solution to this mess is in the FNIS patch. Once you have the patch installed run "Update FNIS Behavior." Once you do this the program will compile a script of errors and anomalys. Normally, you can assume that the error is corrected, but it won't be because in that script "that you probably never read" you will be informed of several conflicted animations from mods that you will need to sort through. There will be 1-3 animation scripts which are preventing these animations from running. All you need to do is delete those scripts and the mods that they belong too and the rest will fix itself.

In my case, and I am not ashamed to admit this, it was AP, and the files that I needed to uninstall were: AP, 1hm_behavior.hkx, 1hm_locomotion.hkx, and mt_behavior.hkx. However, this list might be different for you, you are simply going to have to read the entire thing and sort out which animations go to which animation altering mods... manually... as in, "the hard way." Then, delete those animations and mods in order to maintain stability or else you will crash on start-up. For those of you who have done stuff like this before... its a cakewalk. For others... it might take a few hours depending upon if you ever backup your RAR files and if not therefore have no way of knowing which files belong to which mods.

Haven't found any 'script that I never read' unless it's the temporary logs/generateFNIS_logfile.txt, in which I cannot find any conflicted animation scripts. Could anyone explain that better or how to ID them in the log?

Someone else on those topicpages has suggested removing the default.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx files, but I'm not sure from which mod or from all of them? Don't know what that will do..

But it's not only creatures; also black books, the telvanni tower, etcetera. A different cause altogether, though I guess I could always try.

Tried this dragonborn animation fix mod, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31365/, but this was to no avail.

Recently tried adding dummy animationdatasinglefile.txt animationsetdatasinglefile.txt speeddatasinglefile.txt files in the data/meshes folder, this had the effect of extending the bug to all characters involved! Removed, and the issue was as before.
