CamCo3D
I think its pretty clear that weapons are the least of our worries.
jet4571
15 base weapons and 35 "variations" of those? Ya know that wouldn't surprise me one bit but FO3 had almost 50 excluding all the duplicated mesh ones that just had a name and stat change. One thing that always bugs me about Bethesda, they don't know what unique means. I have messed with their weapon models in 3DS Max without the tools they use and quite frankly I think there is no excuse why they couldn't tweak models so they may be the same weapon but it is unique like a different front sight or the stock is different. 1 modeler could've done all the unique weapons in FO3 to be different and in less than a week using the same textures. Every single named weapon in FO3 could've had a unique model that's similar to the common junk version in less time than a typical workweek. I've already done it. ashendashin
Didn't want to include the renamed weapons in FO3 really. By the variations I meant that the weapons that were actually different, often just had some extra stuff put on, which is how I imagine FO4s weapon crafting system to be. For example having both a 10mm pistol and smg might be replaced by the simple pistol as a base weapon and building on from there, making a small number of base weapons not so unreasonable. If it does turn out like that, then 50 base weapons to work with could mean a very large selection this time around
JianXintou
If there's not enough there will likely be quite a few weapon mods (hopefully some like AG Uniques that kept the feel of the original weapons).
