Legend of Zelda Skyrim project official thread

Hey everyone, its been too long since I have updated this thread, but a lot of progress has actually been made. All of the world spaces have been tweaked and I am now going on my final passes of them to add enemy encounters and items as well as program the puzzles. I also stream myself working on the mod on my youtube page occasionally(I post when I go live on my Twitter if you are interested). Anyway, self-promotion over, a friend of mine recently made this awesome Zelda dress for the mod and uploaded it as a standalone mod, and I decided to take some pictures of it with my version of Zelda. You can also see my updated Hyrule castle model in the background, which is actually the LOD version. I am still working out some minor graphical issues with it, but its largely good to go. Thanks so much for being as patient as you all have been, but its finally starting to come together.http://i.imgur.com/QcZ9UuY.jpg

Holy wow its been almost two months since I posted that update...time for a new one. School started and I got a job, but I have still been working on the mod fairly consistently. I will be putting the mod on hiatus for about two months as of now however, as it has started to exhibit behavior in the form of bugs that is unique to my pc, making finding the problems and fixing them, assuming the root of the problem is even the mod itself, very hard. Specifically, I realized that the music I had added to the mod was too quiet, so I raised the volume in adobe audition and re-converted everything back to xwm...and now any area using any of my custom music types crashes the game, even when I put the old music files that worked back. When I sent it to a friend, the areas loaded just fine but no music played. I am running a computer on its fourth installation of windows(2 installations of 7, one of 8, and now 10) and it exhibits other strange behavior all the time. I will be buying parts to build an all new pc on black friday, so I am just putting the creation kit down to focus on school until then. I am sure I will get some things done in the meantime but that is the plan as of now. If anyone has any insight on why this problem might be happening I am all ears(er, well, eyes.) The esp is now 15.2 megabytes, very much larger than many mods, so it could also simply be instability caused by this. Whatever the problem it will be found and fixed in due time.

*clap clap clap clap* I am so gonna do a let's play of this once you're finished, the years of wait is definitely worth it.

Stuff like this just feels so great to read man. I am incredibly flattered by these words and all words of kindness posted in this thread that I am not quoting specifically. Also feel free to post that lets play in the thread when your done, I would love to see it or maybe sit in on an episode or two if your interested.

It's been a while since I last checked here, how's progress coming along?

Been meaning to post an update for a while actually so thanks for the prompt! Unfortunately the last month or so has kinda sucked so not much progress has been made. Recently I have been working on navmeshing places that need it and filling out the quest dialogue audio, even if I don't have the line recorded, so that the subtitles are readable. I have passed out an official alpha to some friends but as of now a few cells need work. Additionally the voices of Saria and the fairies needs to be cast. After that, its a matter of my friend, TissyTheSavior, cutting the dialogue and getting that to me, then importing it. Still thinking it can be done before the end of the year, but I would be able to work a lot more efficiently if I had someone to help out with ck work. Hopefully before the end of the month I will be able to have a somewhat open alpha to work out bugs. Its been a blast but at this point I am really ready to be done with this thing.

Hi glad to see this is still being worked on.

Once it's done will you consider porting it to skyrim special edition?

Good question. The mod will require SKSE, so a release on special edition hinges on SKSESE or whatever it ends up being called being released. It might end up being released before the mod is done, it might not.
