I just had to make an account here... All for this mod! Please please PLEASE don't stop building this mod! I will follow this for as long as it takes until this mod is published!!! Huge Zelda fan here. I even named my computer after Links horse, Epona. Anyway, point being, I LOVE ZELDA! If you need another person to test the mod, *cough* me *cough* I'm sure there would be a lot of people lining up.

Is this project alive? Its hidden on Nexus and archived on Moddb so I'm curious

Absolutely. The nexus post I hid due to an admittedly paranoid yet somewhat justified fear of Nintendo seeing fit to take it down themselves. I'm sure I don't need to tell you about Nintendo's dealings with fan games, however I believe that this project most likely is at least a little safer than average due to the fact that a) it doesn't seek to directly re-create any specific Zelda game, and b) it isn't really a "full game", in the sense that Hyrule: Total War isn't a "full game". You need Skyrim to play it and you play it through Skyrim. Also, despite the reputation that Skyrim brings, the overworld I created is slightly smaller than Twilight Princess's, and the thought that this could be a suitable substitute for Breath of the Wild is laughable. I apologize if that statement came as a let-down to anyone, but 'tis truth.

The modDB post is actually for a different project that somewhat became this project over time. The person who ran it gave up on it and I was recruited by someone from that team who aspired to take it on alone. I started working on the script at that time, and later on he went to work on something else and handed the project to me, which I then started from the ground up inside Land of Hyrule, which was also given to me to use. I then added quests from the script, models from various sources(many of which I commissioned to be made, rigged or both, (each contribution to be credited individually), as I had 0 3d modeling experience going into this). So the final product will be mostly Land of Hyrule + my vision with a little bit of the modDB version's assets being used.

I would still like to keep the nexus page down for the time being, however if anyone needs the file I can send it to them. I still think that this year is possible to get it out but I still have a lot of stuff to do and I would feel more confident on that with some help. Anyone who can work on interiors would be awesome, as I have one important but tricky one that I am having some problems with. I apologize for making a simple response to a simple question take up three paragraphs, but in reward for parsing through my long winded speech I give you some things I don't believe I have shown off publicly before.http://i.imgur.com/tix7hID.png

This is the approach to the front gate of Castle Town from East Hyrule Field(it should be south but I accidently flipped in 90 degrees when making it and there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it). Not "new" per se, but I don't believe I have shown it in this stage of completion.

This is a Poe, model from Hyrule: Total War and rigged to the human skeleton by DimChryss. The bslightingshaderproperty in the nif still needs some work, as you can see, but other than that it floats around and is a functioning enemy, being used to recreate the puzzle gimmick from the forest temple.

Zoras both male and female show up around Hyrule. Neither are really finished, as I have not been able to get their tri files working properly, but I will get it done before release. This again comes from Hyrule: Total War and was rigged by DimChryss.

This, as I am sure you know, is a Goron. This didn't really have a skeleton that went with the way they move and hold themselves, so the werewolf skeleton was chosen. They stand on their toes but other than that it looks alright I think. Also from Hyrule: Total War and rigged by DymChryss.

Finally, an above shot of Hyrule Field. There are of course sub places you go to, but this is the main hub connecting everything. It would also seem as if the tree and water LOD needs some work.

To wrap up, aside from whats mentioned up there I am having a problem where loading the game into certain areas causes a loading screen crash, but walking into them works just fine. If anyone has any suggestions for that I would love to hear them. Anyway, back to the finals and creation kit for me.
