Tobben82
I was hoping that someone could help me out, i told Dogmeat to stay put so that he would not get hurt when doing a quest and when i finished the quest i could not find him again. So i was hoping that someone knows the ID for him.

So i was hoping that someone knows the ID for him. Dogmeat's ref ID is 0001d162. Try that. I scanned through the pages and it seems like there's some lack of clarification regarding the showlooksmenu command. If you want to edit the player character, input the following command - slm 14 1. You can also fully edit the appearance of most human NPCs by inputting the slm command followed by their ID. Just open the console and click on the desired NPC to get their ID. For example, let's say you want to edit Piper. Her ref ID is 00002f1f, so you would input the following -- slm 2f1f 1. Also, can anyone confirm whether or not the spf command works? In Skyrim, this command would export your character as an .npc file. It's listed as a function for FO4 and I didn't get any error message when I input the command, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. Perraine
I can confirm that the "showinventory" command works on NPCs.I don't recall... Is this the command which allows you to give/take items, as well? In that case, will NPCs on FO4 use Stimpacks put into their inventory, or are we limited to medicating wounded followers? =0[.]o= that command is "openactorcontainer 1" in Skyrim you could use that on pretty much anyone, even mannequins, as if they were a chest or barrel etc. To add something to an NPC's inventory you could (can?) use "additem <item id> 1 (or any other quantity)" and then "euipitem <item id>" for things like weapons and armour, provided of course you know the item ID's AFAIK NPC's don't use stimpaks by themselves, unless they are scripted to do so, maybe they have finally fixed that in FO:4?. Again in Skyrim/FO:3/NV, you can give followers Health Potions/Stimpaks, but they'll never use them. I'm not even sure if the "automatic" ones in New Vegas worked on NPC's./Followers or even if the Medic PA and MKII Stealth Suit auto-inject works on them? Raycheetah
Ah, right! It was openteammatecontainer 1, and you could share stimpacks in FO 3. I remember, because the leader of Reilly's Rangers' legs were crippled after the escape from the hotel, and she limped around like a hunchback until I gave her a stimpack. Be interesting to see if that works in FO4, too. =^[.]^=

I typed setav healrate 100 but my character isn't healing any faster than usual.Edit: Nvm, I think I know how the healrate works, only heal after combat ends. IIRC some commands use the 'ref ID" and some use the 'Base ID" I think that 'placeatme' is one of those ... Try swapping the Base ID / Ref ID and see if that works? Pthalo
I thought player.placeatme was for placing a new instance of the item/npc in question? I don't think that's what we want for re-locating a missing Dogmeat. I know I figured out how to get a friend's misplaced daughter back in Skyrim - we looked up the kid's id's and tried player.moveto refIDgoeshere There was also moveto player refIDgoeshere We could not click the kid while in the console to get her current id, so I don't remember if we got it to work with baseID forms. I always forget which id is base and which is reference. Prid command may still be of some use? Either way, these two commands need testing in FO4 to see if they behave similarly!
