BorrowedName
I've looked in the settings but I haven't found a way to toggle subtitles for dialogue or even background speech (such as recordings). It existed in the previous games and I feel like it's not something Bethesda could remove easily (because it would be detrimental to players who are hard of hearing), so is it a mistake on my part ? KiloFoxx
it is, you just have to be in-game to toggle them on.very annoying as you miss all subtitles for dialogue BEFORE it lets you toggle the options, but better than no subtitles at all I guess
BorrowedName
Where is it exactly? When I press Esc/Settings/Gameplay I don't see it.

BorrowedName
Found them! In display, which in retrospect is kind of logical. Thanks for the help anyway.
Merovign
FYI be on the lookout for subtitles being wrong. IME so far a lot of the time the subtitles get "stuck" and keep displaying the same text over and over while the conversation moves on. Don't know how common this will turn out to be.
