Aim Assist!

I'm loving the improved shooting mechanics of FO4, and I usually play with a controller. The downside is aiming is difficult in fast-paced situations, especially when there are fast-moving insects or a horde of ghouls coming after you. It would be awesome to have an Aim-Assist similar to COD single player and other console FPS to help lock the crosshair onto enemies it's close to. It'd also be neat to have an adjustable 'strength' of the lock on, so that you can change the distance the crosshair will lock on from etc.

If you are using a mouse you shouldn't need aim assist.

@mastertenerife: And yes I did read his post. I just don't really see the point in using a controller over a mouse when accuracy is an issue. Another option is to practice your target tracking skills with the controller (to the best of your abilities at each sensitivity level) and increase the sensitivity each time you pretty much have the hang of it and work your way up. Its like playing Aliens: Colonial Marines with a controller vs mouse. Mouse will easily be more accurate. I just think aim assist takes away from the challenge. Like in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games; the point isn't to make it any easier, only harder and more challenging, enough to make it challenging, and at times even annoying or frustrating.

You just adapt your play style and strategy to anything that jumps or moves around too quickly, like blowing out it's knee caps : ),

or try and discern a hostile's location by sound, then preparing to shoot there.

Anyway, that''s just my opinion.

As far as I can tell, there isn't already an aim assist for the controller, as I play with one myself.

I agree, an aim assist would be much appreciated. I don't know how the CoD aim assist works, But I'd love one similar to HALO's aim assist.

so long as you are moving the crosshairs yourself, AND you have them nearly lined up with your target, you get a slight nudge torward your target. In fast paced gameplay, this effect is hardly noticed, but is very helpful.
