Making Qunari Spoils Armor Useful, Please

While nice looking the armors from Qunair Spoils DLC are not that useful. They are weak compared to other armors and you don't even get the "Superb" versions until level 16. I made multiple attempts to make a few simple Mods with the Mod-Maker Tool on this issue and totally failed. Here is hoping someone more competent can take pity on us "Fem Qunari" players. I see several Moding possibilities. One would be to modify "ip3_items_t1_lootdrop.ebx" to replace the "t1" recipes with the "t3" recipes. Another possibility would be to modify "ip3_recipe_light_1p_qunari_t3.ebx" to change some (all) utility slots to defense slots. Another possibility would be to modify "store_blackemporium.ebx" to increase the "Belt of Elements" to at least the "Superb" level. Any or all of these potential Mods would make playing as Fem-Qunari more enjoyable. Note that I tried all of these possibilities and failed badly with either a Mod-Maker crash or with the Mod-Manager refusing to merge my resulting DAIMOD files. So I must conclude that it will take someone significantly more skilled then I!

I'm mostly playing FO4 atm but I could probably whip something up for you fairly easily. Do you want the Antam-saar or the Shokra-taar or both? I could more or less make it how you want it. What if I took the tier 1 Shokra-taar recipe and made it the same stats as The Skin that Shields (tier 4 trespasser one), http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/The_Skin_That_Shields_Schematic, that's 2 leather and a cloth defence slot?

Greetings "tirnoney": Personally, I would be overjoyed with a tier 1 Antaam-Saar with three defense slots and a max armor rating any where close to the "Prowler level". But I am sure that there are just as many Fem-Qunari players who would welcome a Shokra-taar close to the "Battlemaster level" (think Cass in Shokra-taar). I am sure that I and many other players would welcome anything that you chose to do in this area. And please allow me to express great appreciation for your other Inquisition Mods (I have already used more than a few of them). After having tried to use Mod-Maker, I am highly impressed both by the ability of the people who back-hacked Inquisition to create Mod-Maker in the first place and by the skill of anyone who can use it to create successful Mods. And I say that as someone who spent 35 years messing around with computers and software, even if I now feel somewhat obsolete.

I've uploaded a recipe upgrade mod here. It's not exactly the slots on the Antaam-saar that you wanted (ran into a little glitch) but I hope it will prove useful. It's mod number 11. If you encounter any glitches or think it needs tweaking, just drop me a comment on the mod.

And thank you for your kind words. Most of the Mod Maker's code, and the mod configuration scripts are written in C#, which is all a bit new-fangled to me. I've only started modding properly in the last few months and before that the last thing I'd done that was in any way related was writing C code for Unix systems back in the 90s. heh.
