Running with lower graphics card ram than minimum

Hey guys,

 

Just thought I'd share my experience. I'm running fallout 4 on the following system:

 

Amd fx 4130 quad core oc to 4.5ghz

8gb 1600mhz ram

Nvidia geforce GTX 750 1gb ram

Ancient motherboard with really old chipset

60 gb sad 2 500gb hdd

 

So I was curious if anyone is running on a similar system? I'm playing on medium/Hugh settings, I get mostly 60 fps, until combat I get about 35-40. I was quite surprised seen as the minimum graphics ram required was 2gb and I have half that lol.

I'm playing with an old GTS 450 1GB and an equivalent aged i3 on my work computer (got a proper gaming setup at home). I'm running at minimum settings and it's still playable. Sometimes the frames dip below 20, but they're mostly at 30-35. I come from a console background so it's not world shatteringly unplayable. Gets me my fix in my breaks before going home and seeing it in all of its glory.

looks like the entire concept of minimum requirements completely escaped them.

 

they just posted high to see how long it would take people to notice they had no idea

You will be fine i believe, my gfx card and cpu is nearly idling to run this game. Well not quite but lol. Like, thats great performance is good, but i think they were a little too paranoid in the end.
