xethier Posted November 14, 2015 Share Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Things needed for this: Overall SitRep for each Settlement. (list of names / jobs) Name your settlers. (i'm just giving them different clothing based on their job for now, it's working, but it's a huge pain in the ass) Supply Line Management (this is my main issue) -- Being able to adjust supply lines, remove existing, etc. (having to track down the provisioner or get lucky and have them be local is WAY too much trouble) A mouse-over on an NPC while in build mode should give a brief synopsis of their job. (QOL issue -- if the SitRep exists, this would just be icing) -- Mainly this is for figuring out which provisioner is attached to which settlement. Overall this system seems like it was a bit rushed-out-the-door, too many (fairly basic) QOL issues have been overlooked. A full management package would be marvelous, but to be completely honest I'd be happy with: 1) An ability to find idle unassigned settlersand2) The ability to name my settlers The above could even be further condensed to a simple package that renames settlers as you assign them to their assigned job - Farmer, Guard, etc. So, "Settlers" are simply unassigned settlers that need jobs. gennevermind Posted January 9, 2016 Share Posted January 9, 2016 How-about this as an idea (stolen from the old "Ceasar" Game series)A new task/object available "Mayor's Office" - Just a desk/podium that a settler can be assigned to. Gives the option to "pay" all in the settlement (for a quick happiness boost)BUT ALSO...All unnassigned settlers will loaf around the Mayor's Office during working hours waiting for a job. Or a terminal could do the same kind of thing. It's harder because for some crazy reason most of the settlers don't have *names*. Perhaps part of this should also be "The ability to name settlers" lol. i'm on board with that. naming settlers and seeing their statuses on an interactible table or terminal. the game already renames settlers to provisioners, seems like that could be adapted to rename them to say "farmer" "guard" or "merchant" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
