Posts/ Beams for the building system

I find it very frustrating for when I build stuff to find a way to stack things without having a large singular wooden post to rest things on.

If you can see from the attached image, I've had to use a power pylon in order to achieve a non float look. If its possible to add a wooden post structure, capable of having no collision (as in I can put it through anything and in anywhere) It would be very useful. In creating large stacked settlements for looks and realism.
