Trying to make Combat Helmet invisible

Hi!

I replaced \meshes\armor\combatarmor\f_helmet.nif with an empty file to get rid of the visuals. This works well for Visor, but that Combat Helmet comes with some stupid hood.

This is my character wearing only a combat helmet - does anyone know what that hood is, and how I get rid of that?

the [00] Fallout4.esm \ Armor \ 0011E2C8 <Armor_Combat_Helmet> section

female world model

mod4 model file name Armor\CombatArmor\GO_Helmet.nif

just guessing here, if it don't load the .nif that tells what it looks like it prob wont load anything and be invisible

Don't delete the GO reference, this is the world model when it's laying on the ground or w/e and not the equiped model.

Here's what you do, 1st find the helmet under the Armor category and remove the 30 - Head flag from it.

If you don't remove that, the game overrides the hair model and you'll be bald when it's equiped.

Then find all the helmet parts under the Armor Addon category and remove the male and female model references.

I know, the example images are for Piper's cap, but it should work the same for any helmet/hat.
